Jimmy John’s E. coli Outbreak (2013)

At least 3 Jimmy John’s restaurants were identified as potential sources of an E. coli outbreak in October, 2013.  The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment announced that contaminated produce distributed to multiple stores was the likely cause of the E. coli outbreak. 

At least 8 people fell ill with E. coli infections in the Denver metropolitan area after eating at the Jimmy John’s stores.
