Tulsa Oklahoma E. coli O104 Outbreak

As of June 20, 2011 the Tulsa Health Department is investigating four cases of E. coli O104 in children. Two of the children were hospitalized. Three of the children attend Boston Avenue Church Daycare, and while health officials have not yet confirmed a link to the childcare center, it is a focus of the investigation. E. coli O104 is the same strain as that which has plagued Europe in May and June of 2011, however there is no link between the two outbreaks.
